What academic qualifications do you require?

How is the work culture at the Aricent Group?

Do you offer any on-the-job training?
In order to provide the right orientation, comprehensive training, and information to a new employee, we have a strong and focused orientation program called New Employee Orientation (NEO). Our recent engineering graduates receive the Prism training program. Experienced recruits are exposed to various training programs as needed.

What is the current business focus?
The Aricent Group is a global innovation and technology services company. We imagine, humanize, and build products and services for the connected world. Communications software sits on various communications network equipment such as switching center, billing center, radio access subsystem (BTS, BSC, RNC), and mobile devices such as mobile phones, smart phones, and PDAs. Communications is no longer just a vertical, it is also a horizontal. Communication technologies are becoming critical enablers for many other industries such as energy, healthcare, consumer electronics, automotive, etc. Companies in these spaces are invariably trying to figure out how to exploit communications technologies and the software that goes with it. Our huge depth in these technologies is, therefore, a great asset and, in fact, allows us to play in a much broader area.
When and why did the Aricent Group get into products?
The Aricent Group made an entry into the communications protocol stacks business in 1997, with the launch of its V5.2 access stack. The protocol stacks are the building block software for communication networks. With a rich domain expertise in fixed, wireless, and IP networks, the Aricent Group found an early entry into the communications software products market.
What do 4G networks mean for the future of the Aricent Group?
The world is moving toward the next generation of an all-IP-based network that promises to deliver wireless data rates of more than 100 mbps. It will enable people to access high-speed Internet and various multimedia services such as video download, mobile TV, and real-time video conferencing. Aricent is contributing significantly in the evolution of 4G technologies such as WiMAX and LTE. We are very optimistic about the next-generation revolution in communications technology and are geared to provide key software solutions to OEMs, service providers, and device manufacturers deploying the fourth generation networks and services.
