Corporate Social Responsibility

Responsibility in the Connected World

Information and communications technologies have revolutionized lives by making the world more connected. While many of us are reaping the rewards of this inter-connectedness, there are sections of our society that have yet to see the benefits of these developments. We firmly believe that, in particular, mobile technologies will play a significant role in helping to bridge this gap.

"Going beyond business to make a meaningful difference to the communities in which we operate, through the education of underprivileged children and youth" is the guiding philosophy of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives of the Aricent Group.

Our CSR program works toward empowering individuals through education and training, with an emphasis on information and communication technology. Employees are given the opportunity to spend a few hours each week at our local NGO center teaching computer and other soft skills to underprivileged children, through our volunteer program.

Other Programs

In collaboration with local NGOs, the Aricent Group supports both government and private schools catering to the deprived and disadvantaged sections of society. For example, we built two infotech laboratories, donated critical resources to make them functional, and continue to support the infrastructure development, at the Carterpuri Government School in Haryana, India. Over 500 students receive basic and advanced computer training in these labs every year.

Another example of our community initiatives is our financial support toward Dipalo School of Information and Communication Technology in Soweto, South Africa. Dipalo provides free training in information and communications technologies to school children, undergraduates, and unemployed graduates. Our contribution helped purchase equipment for their training course in network installation.
